Warhorse Studios has unveiled Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2018 medieval action-adventure RPG, set to release later this year.
Continuing the saga in 15th Century Bohemia, the game follows Henry of Skalitz, the heroic blacksmith’s son, on his quest for vengeance following the murder of his parents. This installment promises a significantly expanded open-world, with vibrant cities and diverse activities like blacksmithing and archery to delve into.
Despite the expansive world, storytelling remains paramount, boasting over five hours of cinematic narrative. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 also introduces new combat dynamics, including ranged weapons like crossbows and early firearms.
The game’s stunning visuals, almost lifelike in quality, ensure exclusivity to current-gen consoles such as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, along with PC. The original game, known for its demanding requirements, strained older consoles and even faced challenges on the Nintendo Switch. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, built on the CryEngine, is poised to showcase the pinnacle of modern gaming technology.
